The Beautiful Game

I was dumb when I was younger. I gave up college soccer scholarships because I was scared. I was scared I'd suck at the collegiate level. I was scared I'd suck at school. I was scared I'd lose my boyfriend. (who is now my hubby). I can't say I'd give up now what I have to have played in college-I just wish I had both.
So to keep playing soccer I play on a women's league with a bunch of girls I played with in high school. It's a blast. I love these girls-plus, we win a lot so that is always fun. In the last 4 years I've been playing we have only lost the Championship twice., the season I was pregnant, and the season right after I had Zane...so I feel pretty good about that.
and this season we won again! It was a close game-too close. At half we were down 2-0. We have a player on our team that is brand new to soccer (I hope) we added her just for numbers sake. But she KILLS us when she's in. it's only 6v6 so when one player does nothing it really kills the rest of the team...long story short-I seriously offended her and she left the game without telling anyone. We were grateful. (honestly I'm not that mean, there was a language barrier there) We got 2 goals and went to Golden Goal. Most people hate Golden Goal but I thrive for it. I love the pressure of you have to score and you cannot let the other team. I love it. But..no one scored. We went to a shoot out and since we have the best keeper in the league(she played semi-pro this year) and we all scored our PK's we won!
