Tough as Nails

I have renamed my kid from Z, to Tough as Nails Z. He had tubes put in his ears on Thursday to cure his constant ear infections. I've been dreading it. I have about a million friends that have gone through the same thing and they always say it wasn't as bad as they expected and guess what? They were right! I was most worried about having an IV put in my little boy and having him under anesthesia. His body is so little. That is just sad. To my surprise they didn't use an IV. They gassed him. Which in my opinion is much easier, for everyone involved.
The nurse came in first and told us he'd been fussy for a few hours after we got home and he'd be really mad after he woke up from the anesthesia. Then the doctor came in and told us the exact same thing. Then the Anesthesiologist came in and said the exact same thing. He took Z back, as they were leaving Z waved bye bye to us. He didn't mind leaving us at all. (which kind of breaks my heart) We were taken back to the waiting area where we could hear about a dozen screaming kids. It was probably the saddest place in the world. When it was about time they took us to an actual room where we could still hear screaming children and the doctor came in to tell us everything went great and he would be in in just a minute. She was going over what we needed to do post-op but I couldn't pay attention because I KNEW I could hear Z. I told her I could hear him and she kind of nodded and said, "Ya, the kid in the next room doesn't sound too happy either." She left and I was going NUTS, Rhyno thought I was going to have a melt down because I could hear my poor baby but I didn't have him. A minute later the nurse comes in and Zane is completely out still. Ya, it wasn't my kid screaming, the doctor knew it and she didn't tell me what a crazy I am. I love her.
He woke up sweetly, we gave him his cup, and he just snuggled and watched TV. No crying at all. When I stated that fact to Rhyno, Z let out a mere WAAAHHH, just to prove me wrong then he continued to drink his milk. He did great. He is so brave. I know it's rude to brag, but I really do have the best, cutest, sweetest baby boy in the whole world.

While we were waiting, isn't he cute?

Playing with daddy while waiting

After he was done. He cuddled like this for about 10 mintues...Heaven!

Chillin with dad watching cartoons.

(ps-we had to be there at 7am. We woke up at 6:50, please excuse my hair, face, and the fact that I didn't wear a bra)
